and Ermelo Districts)
SALARY : R96 363 per annum, level 4
CENTRE : Witbank and Ermelo Districts

A matric certificate, Training in data capturing and editing is essential, Experience
in quality control and data processing, Knowledge of MS Office Suite. Person
Profile: These positions will suit persons with: Good interpersonal,
communication, report writing and record keeping skills, Ability to understand
diversity and work with people, Willingness to work long hours.

Receive and record data for capturing, Check completeness and correctness of
data received, Capture edited data on the system ● Provide captured information
as and when required ● Prepare reports, letters and similar material ● General
Administration duties and any other duties related to data capturing/processing.

Stats SA provides scientific knowledge that enables society to understand complex socio-economic
phenomena. It draws its mandate from the Statistics Act, 1999 (Act No 6 of 1999). Stats SA strives to excel in
the following five competencies: ● Intellectual capability to lead the scientific work of statistics ●
Technological competence for purposes of large-scale processing and for complex computations and
accessibility of information to the public ● Logistical competence for deployment of (forward and reverse)
logistics of large-scale field operations and for strategic choices regarding operational efficiency and costeffectiveness

● Political competence in understanding the political environment without being political or Politicized (commitment of delivery without fear of favor)
● Administrative competence: The ability of bringing it all together.

    I’worked for Stats SA as a fieldwork supervisor,but since we were not that busy,I also did data capturing and filing . I’m a fast learner and a hard worker too. And I can start at any time.
